Meet Our Team

Michael Siegel

Program Director

Michael Siegel is a seasoned childcare provider with over six years of experience in after school programming and youth development. Previously an educator and director with the YMCA, JCC, and KinderCare, Michael is passionate about building high-quality programs that foster an environment where children feel safe, supported, and engaged.

In his role as Director of our newly launched after school program, Shalom After School (SAS), Michael oversees daily operations, curriculum development, staff management, and community partnerships. His primary focus is to ensure SAS’s commitment to cultivating an inclusive and enriching space for every family it serves. Michael’s work is deeply rooted in his belief that all children deserve caregivers who believe in them as well as opportunities to learn, have fun, and make friends. As Temple Shalom’s latest addition, Michael is eager to join its team of talented educators and spiritual advisors.

When Michael is not helping children, he enjoys competing in fitness races, playing basketball, discussing film and television, and gloating about his hometown of New York City.
